Oscar Predictions – Who Should and Will Win

Tonight’s the big night!  Check out my final Oscar predictions of who should and will win the big prize tonight.

I apologize for all my wrong predictions.

Revenant1

BEST PICTURE

Stats say The Big Short, hype says The Revenant.  Definitely room for an upset, but it’s between those two.

WILL WIN – THE REVENANT

SHOULD WIN – SPOTLIGHT

Revenant2

BEST DIRECTOR

After the DGA, Inarritu is set up for history.  George Miller could surprise for his incredible vision.  He’s Inarritu’s biggest competition.

WILL WIN – ALEJANDRO GONZALEZ INARRITU – THE REVENANT

SHOULD WIN – GEORGE MILLER – MAD MAX: FURY ROAD

leo

BEST ACTOR

Bet the house on Leo and get ready for a classy and excellent acceptance speech.  He can’t lose.

WILL WIN LEONARDO DICAPRIO – THE REVENANT

SHOULD WIN – MICHAEL FASSBENDER – STEVE JOBS

Larson

BEST ACTRESS

Another sure thing.  Bet the house on Brie.

WILL WIN – BRIE LARSON – ROOM

SHOULD WIN – BRIE LARSON – ROOM

Rocky

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR

Sylvester Stallone’s story, along with the performance, will guide him to gold.  Mark Rylance could be a surprise winner, as could Tom Hardy, for a great year and getting swept up in a potential The Revenant sweep.
