2019 Summer Movie Recap
The 2019 Summer Movie Season is officially over! Though there were a few movies I really loved that came out this summer, this was one of the more lackluster summers in recent years. The biggest problem with this summer movie season was the blockbusters. A lot of the big budget franchise films ended up being complete duds, which really killed the summer for me. But the summer wasn’t a complete failure. There were a number of indies and comedies that showed up, along with some wild horror films too. Here are my picks for the best movies and performances of summer 2019.
*NOTE* – The Summer Movie Season takes place from May to August, so AVENGERS: ENDGAME is not eligible for this list.

- The latest in the legendary Pixar franchise is a hilarious, beautifully animated, deeply emotional film that surprised me at every turn.
